Carnatic Music has its origins in the states of Southern India. Emphasis is placed on basic concepts, such as sruti (pitch), tala (rhythm), swaras (notes), and ragas (melody). We provide Carnatic Music training in Vocal, Violin, and Mridangam.

Beginner level students are exposed to simple swara patterns. At the intermediate level, students begin to learn more complex krithis (songs) in a variety of ragas. Musical improvisation is woven into advanced-level training for students to explore melodic and rhythmic patterns to express themselves creatively within the scope of a raga.

Mridangam and Violin students are also given opportunities to accompany vocal students at annual recitals, mini concerts, and other performances.
